Special Session on GP

Session Title:
Genetic Programming and Game Computational Intelligence.

Description:
The purpose of this special session is to bring together a high quality collection of publications revolving around the theme of applying GP-type algorithms to game environments. Although a small body of research applying these systems to relevant areas of game development exists, these are dispersed across different conferences and journals. The CIG conference presents an ideal setting to bring together these different applications, and to substantiate the applicability of GP to game environments.
CIG attendees should benefit from this special session. It will provide an opportunity to illustrate the potential for applications of GP for computer gaming; on the other hand, the session should also provide an opportunity for researchers using GP techniques to learn from others using them for gaming. The session will thus help to bridge the gap between both research fields.
